Conditions of Entry

1. To be eligible for entry, a WCU customer must register for online banking, download the WCU App and use it during the promotional period, before the closing date of the draw.
2. The promotion will run from 1st October 2018 – 31st December 2018. 
3. WCU Management, Directors, Staff and immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
4. Limited to one entry per ‘download/use’ per draw period. 
5. Anyone who uses the WCU App during the promotional period will be eligible to enter (ie. both new and existing users of the WCU App).
6. The promotion will provide a total of $479 (1) prize. The prize will be awarded in the form of 1 x 32GB iPad.
7. The winner will be notified via a phone call. The winner must contact WCU within 7 days of notification in order to claim their prize. If they fail to do so, WCU reserves the right to withdraw the prize and award it to a new winner via a repeat draw.
8. The winner agrees to WCU publicising the win via social media and other media. 
9. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. WCU reserves the right to end the promotion at any time.
11. The Closing Date for entry into the promotion is 31st December 2018 - 5pm AEST.
12. The draw will take place 2nd January 2019 – 10am AEST.

Changes to our Account & Access Facilities Conditions of Use for Osko Payments

We have added new clauses to the Electronic Access Facilities & ePayments Conditions of Use section for Osko Payments, namely:


Sectio 23 : Using Osko

Section 24 : Processing Osko Payments

Section 25 : Scheduled & Recurring Osko Payments

Section 27 : Authority to Recover Mistaken or Misdirected Payments

The most significant change is Section 27 where you authorise us to recover mistaken or misdirected payments made to your account and return the payment to the payer.

You will be bound by these changes when you make your first Osko Payment.


Gympie Credit Union merger

This news item is to keep you informed of the Warwick and Gympie Credit Union merger process.



As you may know Warwick and Gympie credit unions have agreed to merge subject to member, board and regulatory approvals. Warwick and Gympie have excellent records of serving their communities and this will continue. Gympie has been an iconic part of the community for over 50 years and Warwick for almost as long. In combination we will provide more and better services, keeping money and services in regional areas.


Why merge

Changes in the regulatory environment and the need to continue expensive reinvestment in systems have made it challenging for small mutuals like Gympie with limited resources. Gympie’s board took the proactive decision to seek a merger partner with shared regional Queensland values and a similar community centric culture. Partnering with Warwick will allow Gympie to keep its own identity as Gympie Credit Union. All Warwick and Gympie staff will remain with the organisation and all branches will continue to be open for business.


Approval and Timing

Warwick and Gympie directors unanimously support the merger, also known as a ‘transfer of business’. Approval is now subject to approval from government regulators, Warwick’s board and Gympie’s board and members. If regulators and members give approval it is planned to complete arrangements in early 2019.



The combined organisation will be based in Warwick under its existing board of directors and CEO Lewis von Stieglitz. Gympie will host an advisory committee to provide advice, ideas and in particular advocacy in the Gympie region.


In the tradition of mutually owned companies member customers of both organisations will continue to be shareholders. 


Warwick Accounts

There are no changes to Warwick customer account arrangements.


Gympie Accounts

We are committed to making this transition process as smooth as possible. Gympie members will be migrated onto Warwick’s banking system. In the process you will receive a dedicated new account number and a customer number to enable you to access a host of additional products and services. Warwick is an innovative provider of products including Android Pay, Apple Pay, a smartphone and tablet App, online transacting and much more. Over time direct entry arrangements and other transacting will be moved to Warwick’s BSB 817 001.
